Hypnosis works

Is hypnosis scientifically recognized?

Yes! Hypnosis was already recognized by the Scientific Advisory Board in 2006. The article is in German but you could translate it in English.

Study

What does science say about the effectiveness of hypnosis?
Alfred A. Barrios, Ph.D. published a study many years ago in the journal “Psychotherapy: Theory, Research and Practice” and also in American Health Magazine.

They gave the following success rates:

Psychoanalysis (PA):
Success rate 38% after an average of 600 sessions

Behavioral therapy (VT):
Success rate 72% after an average of 22 sessions

Hypnotherapy (HT):
Success rate 93% after an average of 6 sessions

The statistics come from IHVV (publicly accessible on the Internet). Each of these forms of therapy has its raison d’être. It is not a question of making something bad or anything like that. It is simply to show the average success rates and possibilities of the different types (hypnotherapy was carried out with scripts for better comparison. This means that everyone was read the same script and it was not customized. The Simpson protocol, for example, enables individual achievement of the desired goal).
