How does hypnosis work?

Short:

Very good! 😉

Just kidding!

So, we use the neuroplasticity of our brain and create a change by using a cognitive restructuring through hypnosis, e.g. through guided imagery 😉

You can find out exactly what that means, when you scroll down to the long version.

When we try to consciously solve unconscious problems, change takes a long time.

There is a positive intention behind everything our subconscious mind does (even if it is not logical  for us why we react to certain things the way we do).

Your mind created the problem, so it can solve it. Hypnosis is like a magnifying glass on which the sun shines and focuses the light.

Long:

How does hypnosis work? Well, first of all, it works very well 😉

No, joking aside and serious from the corner 😉

There are several explanations for this.

Basically, we use the neuroplasticity of our brain and cause a cognitive restructuring through hypnosis, e.g. through guided imagery.

Yes, I get it, now please in non-cryptic so you can understand it.

Okay, so to understand how hypnosis works, you first need to know that we have several levels of consciousness. First of all, we have the  unconscious, which is responsible for our bodily functions such as breathing, blinking, swallowing, etc. The  subconscious, which is responsible for emotions, feelings, long-term memory and habits (good, bad, useless / neutral). Then the  conscious mind. This includes our logical, analytical and rational thinking, as well as our willpower and short-term memory. And last but not least, the  superconscious. The superconscious is comparable to the Akashic Records, the morphogenetic field or divine consciousness. (There are different names for it, but I call it superconscious).
